First Turning < High
Culturally bland, planning & building, technology advances. Institutional focus, high order, high function.
Second Turning < Awakening
More individualist, children most neglected, cultural and spiritual awakenings.
Third Turning < Unravelling
Pleasure seeking, extreme individualism, fragmented society, pessimism, emphasis shifts back to protecting children.
